The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has dealt a severe blow to public health, the economy, and society in general<\/strong>. What\u2019s more, it has hit the most vulnerable people the hardest.<\/p>\n

At Itaka-Escolapios, we are well aware of this situation. We all know people who have got sick, who have seen their economic income reduced, and whom isolation has affected on a personal level.<\/p>\n

The Itaka-Escolapios social projects have also been affected by the pandemic<\/strong>: it has forced us to paralyze our boarding schools\u2019 activity, our sociocultural centers, and to close schools. Economic income has fallen, and we have even had to postpone the start of new social projects.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, however, the Itaka-Escolapios network has not \u201cshut down\u201d<\/strong> at any time. We have continued responding, in a creative way, to the demands of the society.<\/p>\n
