AMAWOLÉ
Music is one of the key elements in Congolese life. For decades, DR Congo has been influencing the rest of the African continent with its music, Its sound goes well beyond the limits of the continent, in the ’50s and ’60s with the “soukous” and nowadays with an adapted rhythm, the “ndombolo”.
Nowadays, many Congolese stars are gaining international fame. BLA proposes that, through this activity, we become music stars and that we take a traditional song from DR Congo, known as AMAWOLÉ, international.
It is a song that is typically performed by children in elementary school, scout groups or when doing sports.
